No. Estee Lauder and MAC are two different makeup companies. LIke Cle de Peau and Trish McEvoy. Two different companies. Separate from each other. They may be sold at the same stores, but indeed, different companies. If you are not sure, you could buy a MAC product and search it to look for a Estee Lauder name. Or you could ask an employee at MAC stores or ask someone at Saks or something.

Has anyone tried Estee Lauder 'Sumptuous' mascara yet?
My mom finally let me wear mascara but only on occasions.
But she let me try it on tomorrow. : ) She bought like 40$ from Estee Lauder at Macy's and they gave a gift. So she gave me the Sumptuous mascara in black. I was wondering.....:
Does it work well?
How long does it take to put on?
Does it clump, flake, or smudge?
Does it give you raccoon eyes?
Is it long lasting?
Does it do what it says?

Raccoon eyes are if you are sweaty or have oily skin or don't do makeup checks during the day , or if you don't properly remove makeup the night before ,or if you sleep in eyemake. or live in a humid climate. I used to have to use water proof eye makeup when I lived in south Florida, just to avoid the makeup drudge, taking off waterproof makeup was a pain, Water proof makeup is ok if you want to wear it at the beach or go swimming/spa fun. Have fun with your new makeup and practice with it, especially before a big occassion, practice putting makeup on your friends and try different effects, just don't over do it. as people will see the makeup, your age and they won't see you. Sometimes mascara is all you need!

I don't pick it up that often on others. I agree, I also think it is not really for teens. So, it may be adult-ish type scent that you can grow into. At any rate, you can keep it or re-gift it. Just don't give it to my mother. Ha Ha

Is Estee Lauder's Advanced Night Repair really great for your skin? Want to purchase if it works it's very $$$
I tried it and was not impressed. You don't say if you are trying to reduce the look of wrinkles or whatever. I was just reading about a product called Caracol Cream that has gotten really good press. Also Strivectin... both are expensive but expensive is OK if it works, right? Also, getting enough sleep and staying out of the sun are the best things you can do for your skin. Good luck!

I got a sample of it from a magazine and it was amazing, it leaves your skin softer than anything i've ever put on my skin.

It will stay on all night, covers any blemishes really well, and makes your skin look flawless. For even better results using it, get a foundation brush, I recommend theirs, but you could get any one really. It puts on the foundation flawlessly and effortlessly. It only takes a small amount to fully cover your face. Don't pile it on or it will look too heavy.

As far as mascara goes I love Clinique High Impact, Loreal Volumious and YSL faux cils volume effect. They are all very, very good and they give you long, full, thick lashes. What are good make-up brands similar to MAC Estee Lauder..etc?

I liked Double Wear Powder the best out of all the powder foundations out there. It has great coverage, a good selection of colors, fragrance free, kept my face matte ( I have oily skin- if you skin is dry then it will not work for you- combo-oily make sure you use a lot of moisturizer.), it goes on smooth, the powder is finely milled, it doesn't oxidize on me, it didn't give me break outs ( I am break out prone ), last longer than my other powder foundations.
The cons are- the price ( $32.50) - I only got mine because there was a good gift with purchase which I suggest would be the only time to buy Estee Lauder stuff. Also the compact is not travel friendly- it's bigger than a normal compact and the sponge sits right on top of the powder- I don't use the sponge much but I prefer a two tier compact. They also don't really sample out the powders so I would suggest that you ask someone at the counter to match you up- put if all over your face and just walk around with it- to see how it reacts to your skin- since everyone is different.Estee lauder double wear powder?

I love this product! I own it myself. It's neither a lotion or face wash. It's a toner. A toner is used after your cleanser and before your moisturizer. It's used to minimize your pores and clean off that excess dirt your cleanser didn't get. It has a consistency of nail polish remover and you use it by putting some on a cotton ball and wiping your face with it. Hope that helps!

Ok, I know perfume is a very personal and objective thing but I'm trying to find a new perfume that my partner will like. She really likes Estee Lauder 'Beautiful'. I bought her Guerlain 'Samsara' and she hated it. So any suggestions? Personally I think she smells great in anything! Estee Lauder's 'Beautiful' is quite a delicate, feminine, light scent where as Guerlain 'Samsara' is quite heavy so I'm not surprised she wasn't that happy with it.
I think it's lovely you want to give her a new perfume as a treat. However, make sure you make it clear it's just a gift and not a hint that you hate her regular perfume (unless you do hate it).
Why don't you just go shopping with her (I know, I know) for the perfume and just whip out your credit card for the one that takes her liking.
Alternatively, if you really want to surprise her, take a sneaky peek at some of her glossy mags like Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Grazia etc in their 'Beauty' sections they are always profiling the latest scents with a description of their smells.
Failing that though - here are some of my personal recommendations:
1. Dolce and Gabbanna 'Light Blue'
2. Christian Dior 'J'Adore'
3. Miss Dior Cherie

Really - don't. If she has a perfume she likes buy that one. I would not appreciate you trying to find me a new one and it is very unlikely that you will be successful. You could waste an awful lot of money. And it is very disappointing to be bought perfume I don't like - especially if I know that the person knows what perfume I do like.
I'd go into a perfume shop and ask the assistant. Any halfway decent one would be able to help.
I had the same issue a couple of years ago and was pointed in the direction of a perfume I'd never heard of. My wife loved it. Got lots of brownie points for that I can tell you :-D

Double Wear is a teensy bit lighter in coverage. The coverage is perfect, the shade is spot on, no oilies, just nice looking skin. This line is great if you're looking for neutral tones. Also, this stuff looks very natural on your face, for example, I can even get away with skipping concealer when using this. Finally, I find this stuff really does hold up well, even on my tremendously oily skin.
Double Matte is a bit heavier, I would say. It covers acne scars really well and would be great if you wanted to skip concealer.
The big difference is that Double Wear ';looks'; nicer on your skin, has a velvety, even finish and looks better on photos. DM is great, but a *bit* thicker. Hope that helps!!!

Which is better Aveda or Estee Lauder for skincare and makeup?
I need a ';look'; for work that will be natural and pretty, and I want some skincare too. I have heard rave reviews about Aveda, but what about thier parent company Estee Lauder? Are they any good? So which would you recommend? Estee Lauder or Aveda for skincare and makeup? I currently use Clinique, but I look tired all of the time and thier skincare has made me breakout alittle. Here is a little secret that i picked up ... all foundations are the same! you can go to wal-mart and get cover girl or go to MAC and spend more for the same coverage. I actually only use concealer it covers up my ';red'; and ';sleepy'; spots on my face and then put a compact powder on top. So just but foundation or concealer that is on sale. It really doesn't matter who it's by. Now eye shadow, eye liner, brushes, etc makes a difference. Foundation, no so much. Shiseido and Shu Uemura are made for Asians specifically for their skin.
Here are some things I tend to lean towards for everything else.
Foundation: whatever is on sale
Powder: whatever is on sale (only if its compact)
Bronzer (if your fair): Claire's or Icing - goes on really natural.
Blush: MAC - their specialist will help you pick a color with your tone.
Eyeshadow: MAC, it lasts ALL day.
Liner: Rimmel - has lots of canola oil so it glides on smoothly.
Mascara: Benefit's bad gal lash or Lancome
Eye brow pencil: Rimmel
Brushes ... get a starter kit, it'll be pricey but WELL worth it.
There is no need to spend that much money unless you want to!

Otherwise, Rimmel is what I personally use, I find it to be the best; blends easily, not heavy, looks natural and I'm guy, so its harder to blend too!
How about save some money and buy mabellines new more natural looking foundations like the dream matte mouse and the minerals foundation.
All of those products are great, but personally I just use Maybelline powder foundation. It's $12 and it works very well.

Hi...I love Lauder's products too.... I would NOT buy a mascara from Ebay or anywhere else where it could be used .....or tampered with. I did find several of them on Amazon and they are a good place to order from I have bought from them for a long time. They list a few of the mascara's used but most of them are listed as new and I trust if they say new it is new. I am gonna send you the link where they have them listed.

i think sephora is cheaper than retail. if you want truely amazing mascara i would recommend dior show. i love love LOVE it! it's really good and i used to be a estee lauder fan. sephora or a dior counter will have it. it is really is good...only a couple of swipes and i have long, non-clump lashes. it's not cheap initially, but it lasts a really long time so you are saving some money.Where can i find estee lauder mascara for cheap?

I've used some of their stuff before, and it's really not that bad. Their moisturizer is really good, I think. I've found better, like Dior's moisturizer is better, but also a little more expensive. I love their make up, though.

I started using the Estee Lauder ';Perfectly Clean'; for Normal/Combination skin regimen because I had some breakouts, but now, 4 weeks have passed of daily cleansing and my face is breaking out like never before! Yes, I think it's way over rated. If you do try this product, make sure you use the whole line in order to get the maximum benefits. Other wise all you need to do is, cleanse and moisturize your face and decollete every night and morning. Use a sunscreen, try to avoid the sun as much as possible, drink lots of water, oh I forgot, exfoliate 2x a week to help the process of eliminating the dead skin. I wear double wear and I love it! It lasts 16hours. The DW light is good but not as much coverage. Double wear can be applied too thick and look fake and cakey, but if you use a minimal amount and use a foundation brush, it looks natural. I won't even try any other foundations. Double wear is the way to go.
I love the double wear but it can look thick at times and i have never tried the light version so i can't comment on that. On the positive side i would say that it is a quality product that lasts the day.

If you've never worked as a manager before, it's important to address the fact you can be a leader and a good motivator. Managers are suppose to be able to properly take control of situations and to handle unusual situations. If these are skills that you possess, it's important that they know about it.
Also, it would be quite important to know a great deal about the company and their products. During the interview, you should point out that you love their products and that you are actually wearing their make-up. I remember that during my interview, I was asked what I would recommend to a potential client who's never worn make-up before.

Estee Lauder is ';okay'; in this department but I know two things are much better. I'm soon to be 45 and of course have the tiny, fine lines appearing around the old eyes too here are two things that help keep my skin smooth and looking a heck of a lot younger.
(1) Stay hydrated. Yep, that means drinking those 8-10 glasses of water per day and be religious about it. It keeps your skin plumped and when your cell walls have adequate water - your skin will firm up.
(2) Check out Kinerase Extreme Lift Eye. Don't choke - this is $95 a bottle and worth every penny (plus it will last 6-9 months even with frequent use so little is needed). I just bought a moisturizing cream from Estee today, to my surprise I always thought that Clinique is a cosmetic line of Estee Lauder. I know this because my former colleague at work used to show me her new clinique make-up and showed me that they were made by Estee Lauder. Can somebody confirm that to me? Is Estee Lauder and Mac foundation the same?
No No No ......And I say this because Lauder has different levels of coverage .....and even though I have not used MAC foundation I have read alot of articles saying that it is ';heavy'; and lots of people have breakouts from it. I do use MAC products, I just stay away from their foundation. Most of their foundations are used for photographs and stage makeup ....so if I were you and were considering between the two ...I would give Lauder a try ....and if you tell the ladies at the counter the type of coverage you want/need....they will fix you up and one thing ( which others may do this too ) but if you buy a shade now and say you tan during the summer and need a darker foundation you can take your foundation ( if it is liquid ) and the ladies at Lauder can adjust it to the shade you are now which is kinda nice so you don't need to buy a new bottle. Also, I really recommend you go to Makeup Alley and research .....it is a great place to go to see what products are working and what they have to say ...they have message boards and they have product review sections ....

Es tee Lauder make beautiful products. The Maximum cover has a really lovely even Finnish to it and you'll find that it lasts twice as long as the normal foundation because it's doesn't absorb into your pours as quickly. It's a little bit more expensive but it's well worth the money because it lasts longer. You won't be disappointed.
